Ice and the Justice League battle her brother Ewald. Ewald has taken the throne away from her father and has raised giant Nomad warriors from the dead to battle the Justice League.

The climax of this story ends in a face-off between Ice and her brother. When Ewald's magical staff is broken it explodes. This apperently kills Ewald. This puts Ice in a Position to take over her family throne. She decides instead for a democracy for her people. In the end of this issue the reader finds out someone was pulling Ewald's strings but, it is not revealed who.
